President Donald Trump predicts Super Bowl LIX winner between Chiefs, Eagles

On Sunday, Donald Trump will become the first sitting president of the United States to attend the Super Bowl. Ahead of the highly-anticipated showdown between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles, the 47th president revealed which team he believes will win.
“I hate to do it. I just say that I’ve watched this great quarterback (Patrick Mahomes) who has, by the way, a phenomenal wife,” Trump said in an interview with Fox News’ Bret Baier. “She’s a Trump fan. She’s a MAGA fan, so I happen to love her, OK? But she’s a great person.
“I watched her being interviewed. I said, ‘Boy, that’s pretty good.’ But she’s great, and he’s great. I guess you have to say that when a quarterback wins as much as he’s won, I have to go with Kansas City. I have to go with Kansas City. At the same time, Philadelphia has a fantastic [team]. It’s gonna be just a great game.”
Trump isn’t the only one who’s expecting an entertaining matchup. According to FanDuel, the Chiefs are 1.5-point favorites against the Eagles. In fairness, the Chiefs are used to this, entering the game with back-to-back Super Bowl victories under their belts.
Moreover, Trump is correct to believe in Patrick Mahomes. The two-time MVP has been spectacular in the playoffs. Most recently, Mahomes tallied 245 passing yards and a touchdown without throwing an interception in the Chiefs’ win over the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship.
President Donald Trump showed love for Mahomes and the Chiefs after the win with a post on social media.

“Congratulations to the Kansas City Chiefs,” Trump said on his social media platform. “What a GREAT Team, Coach, Quarterback, and virtually everything else, including those fantastic FANS, that voted for me (MAGA!) in record numbers. Likewise, congratulations to the Buffalo Bills on a tremendous season. They will do a lot of winning long into the future!!!”
The Chiefs aren’t the only ones with a standout QB leading their team. Jalen Hurts was similarly fantastic in the Eagles’ NFC Championship victory, racking up three rushing touchdowns by way of the Eagles’ patented “Tush-Push.”
Now, the two teams will clash at 6:30 p.m. ET in the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. Upon the announcement that Trump would be in attendance, Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi discussed Trump’s protection.
“Extensive planning and coordination have been in place to ensure the safety of all attendees, players, and staff,” Guglielmi said in a statement. “Security measures have been further enhanced this year, given that this will be the first time a sitting President of the United States will attend the event.”
