President Donald Trump takes lap in The Beast ahead of Daytona 500

President Donald Trump, in Daytona Beach for the 67th running of the Daytona 500, took a lap around Daytona International Speedway in “The Beast” presidential limo as part of the prerace festivities.
Trump arrived from Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach just before 1 p.m. ET. But before Trump made his way to Daytona Beach International Airport, Air Force One did a flyby over the racetrack as captured on the FOX broadcast. Trump was then shown on the broadcast during the signing of the national anthem roughly 30 minutes before green flag.
Trump is expected to spend two hours at the racetrack, per his schedule obtained by Jeff Gluck of The Athletic. With the Great American Race set for a 2 p.m. ET start, that means Trump will be present for about an hour of the action. Trump will head back to Mar-a-Lago after leaving Daytona.
This is not the first time Trump is attending the Daytona 500 as president. He previously served as the Grand Marshal in 2020 during his first term. Trump also attended Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans this past Sunday.

President Donald Trump delivers presidential message ahead of Daytona 500
Ahead of his arrival, Trump delivered a presidential message on the Daytona 500.
“Today, I look forward to joining tens of thousands of American Patriots in Daytona Beach, Florida, for the “Great American Race” — the legendary Daytona 500 — and the official start to the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series,” Trump wrote, via Rapid Response 47. “This iconic race showcases the fastest, most fearless drivers in motorsports, who represent our nation’s love of tradition, competition, and automotive innovation. The Daytona 500 brings together people from all walks of life — from lifelong racing fans to first-time spectators — they all join in celebrating a shared passion for speed, adrenaline, and the thrill of the race.
“From the roar of the engines on the track to the echo of the “The Star-Spangled Banner” soaring through the stands, the Daytona 500 is a timeless tribute to speed, strength, and the unyielding spirit that make America great. That spirit is what will fuel America’s Golden Age, and if we harness it, the future is truly ours.”
