Eagles fans can get to know Jason Kelce a little bit better beginning in September. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that Prime Video announced the green light for a documentary titled Kelce, which follows the Philadelphia lineman through the 2022-23 season.

The documentary premiers on Sept. 12, just a few days after Week 1 of the NFL season kicks off. The special is produced by 9.14 Pictures, Vera Y Productions and NFL Films, per Rapoport.

Kelce and the Eagles are coming off a Super Bowl LVII run last season, which should add even more intrigue to the documentary. Philadelphia came up just shy of winning another ring, falling 38-35 to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Kelce’s brother, Travis Kelce, is a tight end for the Chiefs.

Both Jason and Travis are known for having big personalities. They have no trouble showcasing it, either, making them two of the more popular players in the NFL.

Jason has spent his entire career with the Eagles, dating back to 2011. He’s a six-time Pro Bowl selection and has earned first-team All-Pro honors five times. Jason also was a member of Philly’s Super Bowl LII-winning squad.

Over the course of his career, Jason has started in 176 games for the Eagles.

This documentary should provide a unique perspective into one of the more outspoken players in the NFL.

Jason Kelce agrees to one year deal with Eagles

There was some thought that Jason might retire following the conclusion of last season. Ultimately, the All-Pro center decided to return for at least another year. And it should help Philadelphia make another Super Bowl run.

The offensive lineman inked a one-year deal for $14.25 million, with incentives that could boost the total to $14.75 million. That’s an increase from last year’s salary — not bad for a player on the verge of retirement.

“I have put much thought into whether it makes sense to play another season,” Jason wrote on Twitter. “After talking it over with my wife and many other friends and family, I have decided to return for another year. Thank you to all my supporters and detractors for fueling me, I ain’t f***ing done yet!”

Philadelphia ended last season with a 14-3 record in the regular season. The goal this year is nothing short of a Super Bowl run again.

And, if this is his final year in the NFL, Jason gets at least one more head-to-head matchup with his brother, Travis. The Eagles travel to Kansas City to play the Chiefs on Nov. 20.
