Seattle Seahawks cornerback Quandre Diggs came up big with an interception in the red zone against the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday night. Diggs looked like a wide receiver as he got two feet in the end zone on Matt Stafford’s throw-away ball in the second quarter.

The sixth-year veteran now has two interceptions on the season. Diggs picked off Jimmy Garopollo in Week 4 versus the 49ers, helping clinch a 28-21 win.

The Seattle Seahawks are 2-2 on the season with wins over the 49ers and the Indianapolis Colts. They dropped games two and three versus the Tennessee Titans and the Minnesota Vikings.

Though the first four games, Quandre Diggs has 31 total tackles and 20 solo tackles, which is tied for 21st in the NFL. The former Texas Longhorn posted three interceptions in 2017 and 2018 with the Detroit Lions. He also had three in 2019 with the Seahawks. Last season was Diggs’ best. He had five interceptions and 64 total tackles. That performance earned him his first Pro Bowl selection.

Diggs in final year of contract with Seattle

Quandre Diggs sought an extension this offseason as he entered the final year of his current contract. Instead, the Seahawks restructured his deal. He was going to get $5.95 million in base salary with another $100,000 available in per-game roster bonuses.
