Quay Walker injury udpate: Packers LB ruled out of SNF vs. Seahawks
Green Bay Packers linebacker Quay Walker has been ruled out of a Sunday Night Football game against the Seattle Seahawks with an ankle injury, the team announced.
Walker suffered the injury late in the first half, hobbling off the field and seeking medical attention on the sidelines.
NBC sideline reporter Melissa Stark provided an update on Quay Walker during the broadcast.
“Yeah, so we saw him get injured at the end of the first half,” Stark reported. “He spent seven minutes in the medical tent. When he came out he had a much heavier tape job on that left ankle. He limped around in pain.”
TV shots showed Walker exiting the medical tent and slowly making his way over to the bench. After he sat down his frustration became visible.
Quay Walker has been playing some of his best football of late.
“You see he had the towel over his head in frustration,” Stark said. “He is out because of that ankle.”

TJ Watt suffers ankle injury
Quay Walker wasn’t the only talented pass-rusher to hit an injury issue on Sunday, as Pittsburgh Steelers star TJ Watt also suffered an injury.
Watt suffered an ankle injury during Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles, but the injury is not serious. After the game, Watt told reporters that he rolled his ankle and the X-rays were negative. Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said the same thing, revealing that Watt suffered a “low-ankle” injury.
Watt went down with an injured ankle with five minutes remaining in the game. Despite the loss, Watt had a strong performance on Sunday, recording seven tackles, two sacks, two quarterback hits and one forced fumble. Watt now has 11.5 sacks this season, the sixth double-digit sack season of his career.
