Quinn Ewers has become one of the more polarizing prospects in the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft. While head coach Steve Sarkisian has a long history of producing first-round signal callers, not every mock draft has Ewers listed inside the top 32 picks.

Rumors did fly on Monday about Ewers sitting out the rest of the 2024 season, wanting to prepare for the draft. On3’s Pete Nakos reported that those talks were false as Texas is preparing to face off against Vanderbilt on Saturday.

Even so, there is still plenty to talk about where Ewers eventually winds up being picked. Take a look at where he is mocked in the latest NFL Draft projections down below.

The first of four mock drafts has Ewers heading out to New York, something you will learn to be a popular selection. Many expected the Texas quarterback to be a first-round pick heading into the season and even with some struggles thus far, the Giants certainly need a long-term quarterback plan.

Daniel Jones was brought back for another season but if Ewers was taken, he would immediately become the franchise’s next guy. For reference, Wilson had Ewers as the fourth quarterback off the board.

Chris Trapasso, CBS Sports – Not a first-round pick

Ewers decided to return to Texas in order to improve his NFL Draft stock and if he were not picked in the first round, something would have gone wrong. Picking up another injury before struggling against Oklahoma and Georgia has certainly not helped over the past month.

There is still time for Ewers to once again show improvement and maybe make him a consensus first-round pick. But for now, Trapasso does not see it and has Ewers potentially being selected on Day 2.

Mike Renner, CBS Sports – No. 7 to New York Giants

For the second time, Ewers is mocked to the Giants but in a much higher draft position. Renner has New York picking inside of the top 10 and filling their quarterback need even earlier in the first round than the first projection.

Two other quarterbacks were taken ahead of Ewers in Renner’s mock. Early runs on QBs are nothing new on NFL Draft Thursday nights and the same might be true this upcoming April in Green Bay.

Josh Edwards, CBS Sports – No. 15 to New York Giants

Fourth and final, it’s another mock having Ewers playing in the Big Apple. Head coach Brian Daboll would be hitting the reset button inside his offense with a new leader.

There are some interesting offensive pieces to work with, mainly last year’s first-round pick Malik Nabers. But there is a lot of football left in the NFL as New York currently has a 2-5 record and sits bottom of the NFC East.
