Raiders minority owner Tom Brady tells QBs Jimmy Garoppolo and Aidan O'Connell to 'ruin' Cowboys' night

Tom Brady may not be in uniform, but he still has that competitive fire. The new minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders gave some words of encouragement to quarterbacks Jimmy Garoppolo and Aidan O’Connell before Saturday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys.
As the two QBs walked out of the locker room, Brady can be heard saying, “Go ruin their night.” Unfortunately, the message from the seven-time Super Bowl champ didn’t come to fruition.
The Cowboys defeated the Raiders 31-16 in the final preseason game of 2023 for both teams. But the quarterback play was solid for Las Vegas, for whatever that’s worth.
O’Connell received the lion’s share of the throws, completing 17-of-26 passes for 178 yards. Chase Garbers went 5-of-6 for 46 yards. The team’s lone touchdown came on a Damien Williams carry.
Brady enters a new phase of his life … and in the NFL. After closing out a career that exceeded two decades, the future Pro Football Hall of Famer decided to jump into ownership.
It probably feels quite a bit different, considering it’s been less than a year since his retirement. And while he likely still has to get used to not suiting up, he still clearly has the competitive fire.
The Raiders open the 2023 NFL regular season on Sunday, Sept. 10 against the Denver Broncos.
Tom Brady’s hilarious interaction with Micah Parsons
Brady’s remarks to Garoppolo and O’Connell weren’t his only that got captured by cameras. In Saturday night’s game, he also had a funny exchange with Cowboys star linebacker Micah Parsons.

Parsons walked up to Brady saying, “He owes me, he owes me.” But Brady didn’t take the bait. Instead, the former NFL star responded, “I don’t owe you anything. You hit me too much. I don’t owe you s***.”
It probably didn’t help that the Cowboys defeated the Raiders on Saturday. Now Brady really doesn’t owe Parsons anything.
For the rest of his life, Parsons will have one of the most impressive accomplishments on his resume. He was the last player to record a sack against Brady, with that coming in the NFC Wild Card Game during last season’s playoffs.
Even though he’s no longer in uniform, there’s still a lot of respect for Brady and what he accomplished during his NFL career. But it’s probably safe to assume that there are a lot of players finally breathing a sigh of relief that he’s no longer in the league … as a player.
