Rajah Caruth reacts to winning Most Popular Driver in Craftsman Truck Series
While he didn’t make the Championship 4, Rajah Caruth is walking away as the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Most Popular Driver. Caruth picked up his first career win this season as well in a dominating performance at Las Vegas.
Rajah Caruth is a rising star in NASCAR. He rose to fame as an iRacer and that blossomed into a real career in racing. With backing from HendrickCars.com and support from the likes of Jeff Gordon, it isn’t surprising to see him win this award.
This award isn’t just about his sponsors or who vouches for him. Caruth is active on social media and still streams regularly on Twitch. He is a modern driver who spends time online and interacts with fans often.
Rajah reacted to the news while at the NASCAR Awards last night.
“What’s up fans? I want to thank you for voting me for Most Popular Driver in the Craftsman Truck Series,” Caruth said in a short video. “Appreciate all y’all’s support and we’ll see you in 2025.”
This season was a solid improvement over the last. Caruth improved his season standing from 16th as a rookie to 7th this season. A win, five top-5s, and 12 top-10s guided him to the semifinals of the NASCAR Playoffs. He fell just short of the Championship 4.
Rajah Caruth is seen as a future star. Let’s not forget that he didn’t start driving a real car until he was 16. Keelan Harvick just made his first Limited Late Model start at the age of 12.
So, at 22 years old, the learning curve has been extreme for Caruth. He has handled himself well at every step. Another season in the Truck Series will do a lot of good for him. He earned two poles this season as well. The speed is getting there, his aggression is definitely there.

Rajah Caruth can make moves others can’t at his level
While Rajah Caruth didn’t win six races like Corey Heim or lead the series in average finish like Christian Eckes, he has his own skills. Ever since his iRacing days, Caruth has had an incredible knack for car control.
Like any driver, there are times when Caruth spins out. There are times he gets into a wreck when it is possibly avoidable. But the saves that he has made in ARCA and the Truck Series already in his career are no doubt impressive.
That car control allows him to make moves and passes that many in the Truck Series can’t or simply won’t attempt to make. Those are the kinds of moves that excite people in the Xfinity and Cup Series who are invested in his development.
Rajah Caruth capped off a strong sophomore campaign in the Truck Series with a Most Popular Driver award. I wouldn’t be shocked to see him defend that next year on top of multiple race wins.
