Rams WR Demarcus Robinson robbed at gunpoint of over $100K worth in jewelry in Los Angeles

Rams wide receiver Demarcus Robinson was reportedly robbed at gunpoint on Friday morning. TMZ Sports reported that the thieves stole more than $100,000 worth of jewelry.
Per the report, authorities responded to a call regarding a robbery outside a Los Angeles hotel on Friday. Two men allegedly approached Robinson just after midnight, pointing firearms his direction and ordering him to hand over his possessions.
Robinson handed over the items and the suspects escaped. Fortunately, the receiver remained unharmed in the incident.
At the time of the report, police continue searching for suspects and launched an investigation.
Robinson is in his first season with the Rams and eighth NFL season overall. He played for the Chiefs from 2016-21 and played for the Ravens during the 2022 campaign. The receiver has yet to record a catch for Los Angeles this season.

Over the course of his eight seasons in the league, Robinson has accounted for 193 catches for 2,137 yards and 16 touchdowns. He was a member of Kansas City’s Super Bowl LIV team, as well.
The Rams host the Steelers at SoFi Stadium on Sunday. Kickoff is set for 4:05 p.m. ET with the game airing on FOX.
Robinson was a fourth-round selection in the 2016 NFL Draft out of Florida. During his time with the Gators, he hauled in 105 receptions for 1,353 yards and nine touchdowns. His best year came in 2014, when he tallied career-bests in catches (53), yards (810), touchdowns (7) and yards per catch average (15.3).
