Randy Gregory spurned the Cowboys in-favor of signing with the Denver Broncos in one of the more shocking decisions of the NFL offseason. Now, the former Dallas star is making his true thoughts on the Cowboys known on Twitter.

First, Gregory responded to a fan in a since-deleted Tweet where he took a shot at the Dallas ownership and front office. Luckily, Ari Meirov of Pro Football Focus was able to capture it while it was available.

“Your owners acted in bad faith all free agency,” tweeted Gregory. “They’ve been awfully quiet lately huh? Wonder why lol. Can’t wait for you guys to ask them the same questions!”

After being ready to return to Dallas, changes to the language of the contract led to Gregory killing the deal with the Cowboys. Additionally, Gregory responded to a fan who said he sounded upset, taking a shot at the Dallas fanbase as a whole with his words.

“Nah that’s your toxic fan base that believe I owe them and their team something lol,” tweeted Gregory.

As if that wasn’t enough to burn a bridge for a potential return to Dallas in the future, Gregory gave a simple answer when asked if he wanted to return to the Cowboys in the future.

“Hell nah,” Gregory tweeted.

In the meantime, Gregory has been praising the Broncos — seemingly elated to be in Denver. The Cowboys invested a decent amount of time and money in the former Nebraska star. However, their relationship with Randy Gregory is obviously sour now.

Insiders reveal why Randy Gregory turned down Dallas offer

Moreover, ESPN’s Ed Werder revealed that language “standard” to the organization, but not commonly found elsewhere, led to the change of plans for Randy Gregory.

“Source says the salary forfeiture language Cowboys include in player contracts that led Randy Gregory to abruptly sign with Broncos is standard to them but not commonly used by other teams,” Werder tweeted Tuesday as information continued to come out.

According to David Moore of the Dallas Morning News, the exact clause provides the Cowboys the ability to “void or withhold money if player is fined by NFL.” As someone who has faced league punishment on multiple occasions throughout his career, Gregory opted against signing the contract.

Moore also revealed in his report that only one Cowboys player does not have that clause in their current contract: Dak Prescott. His sources also said the team has never invoked the clause.
