The Packers are feasting on the Lions. OK, at least through the first quarter. And Green Bay fans will want te rewatch a scoop-and-score all Thanksgiving.
The chaotic defensive play game the Packers a 20-6 lead with two minutes to go in the first quarter at Detroit’s Ford Field.
Rashan Gary had the strip sack of Jared Goff, although most of the players on the field weren’t sure it was a fumble. Jonathan Owens scooped up the fumble and returned it 27 yards for the score

And a certain legendary gymnast also was celebrating the play. Owens is married to Simone Biles, the most decorated gymnast in history. She immediately shared video of the TD with the caption:
“THATS MY HUSBAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MY MANS MY MANS MY MANSSSSS. LFGGGGGGOOOOOOO!”
And the Green Bay defense did it again the next series, with Karl Brooks forcing another Goff fumble. But the Lions defense held the Packers offense on downs. The drive ended after the first play of the second quarter. But here’s a cool detail for Green Bay. The 20, first-quarter points are their most since Oct. 19, 2014.

The Packers increased the lead to 23-6 later in the second quarter on Anders Carlson’s 43-yard field goal.
In terms of turnovers, this game almost seems like a repeat of the Lions game last Sunday against the Bears. Detroit turned the ball over four times, with three of them interceptions thrown by Goff. However, the Lions are one of the best teams in the NFL, so Detroit overcame their mistakes. The Lions roared back from a 12-point deficit to win 31-26.
The Packers defense put together a dominant first half. Goff fumbled twice and Green Bay also held on downs late in the second quarter. An intentional grounding call on Goff also helped with thwarting the drive.
