Report: Camden Lewis accepts rookie minicamp invite from Denver Broncos
Former Oregon kicker Camden Lewis will get his shot in the big leagues after inking an undrafted free agent deal.
According to NFL insider Aaron Wilson, Lewis has become the latest Duck to agree to terms with the Denver Broncos. Wilson tweeted that news Sunday evening shortly after the 2024 NFL Draft concluded:
“#Broncos are bringing in Oregon kicker Camden Lewis for a rookie minicamp tryout, per a league source.”
Lewis played all five of his college seasons at Oregon, serving as the starting kicker nearly the entire time. On his career, he converted 261 out of 264 extra points, as well as 49 of 68 field goals, more than 70% accuracy. He was also the Oregon punter, booting more than 400 punts during his five years in Eugene.
Lewis is the rare kicker that can do and did everything with his leg. He’s about as reliable as it gets on extra points, he’s solid with field goals, can kick off and even be the punter, which is typically an entirely different skill altogether.

He joins former Ducks quarterback Bo Nix in Denver as well as Troy Franklin. On Thursday night, the Denver Broncos selected Nix with the twelfth pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. And in a draft class loaded with talent at wide receiver Franklin bargain where he was taken. He heard his name called at the No. 102 overall pick in the fourth round. Make that three Ducks now in Denver.
Also in the fourth round, the Minnesota Vikings selected former Oregon cornerback Khyree Jackson. While the Atlanta Falcons selected former Oregon defensive end Brandon Dorlus in the fourth round as well.
Running back Bucky Irving found his new home not too long after those two. He was selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with the 25th pick of the fourth round in the NFL Draft after he enjoyed a tremendously productive and successful collegiate career.
