Report: Carolina Panthers receiving calls on Bryce Young, not considering trading quarterback
According to Diana Russini of The Athletic, the Carolina Panthers are still receiving calls in regards to quarterback Bryce Young. However, the Panthers are “not considering” a trade at the moment after starting last Sunday’s game due to an Andy Dalton injury.
If Young is going to move away from the franchise, Russini says the offseason will be when a trade occurs. Better trade value will come at that point of the NFL calendar.
“The Panthers are getting multiple calls from teams interested in trading for former No. 1 overall pick Bryce Young,” Russini said via X. “At this time, Carolina is not considering moving him.
“The Panthers were encouraged by his improvements and overall commitment to the team in his return to the field last week. NFL executives around the league believe if Carolina decides to trade him they’ll get a better deal by waiting until offseason anyways.”

Carolina benched Young ahead of their Week 3 matchup against Las Vegas. Head coach Dave Canales announced the franchise would be moving forward with Dalton but reports quickly emerged on the lack of urgency to trade Young right away. Clearly, there are multiple teams interested in getting him on the roster right away.
A few weeks later, those thoughts have remained the same for the Panthers. With the NFL trade deadline scheduled for Tuesday, Young is likely to stay put until the offseason.
Dalton is still dealing with an injury following a car accident and is not ready to play quite yet. Young will start in an NFC South showdown against New Orleans on Sunday, hoping to break a five-game losing streak. Young is completing just under 60% of his throws this year, going for 523 yards, two touchdowns, and five interceptions.
