The Chiefs will reportedly be down a linebacker for a few months. NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported that Nick Bolton is expected to miss two months because of a dislocated wrist.

Bolton needs surgery to fix the injury, per the report. The linebacker suffered the injury during Kansas City’s 31-17 win over the Chargers on Sunday.

Bolton has played in four games this season. He has 28 tackles and an interception for the Chiefs. The linebacker accounted for nine tackles, including three solo stops, against Los Angeles.

Bolton is in his third season with the Chiefs out of Missouri. He earned PFWA All-Rookie honors during his first season in Kansas City in 2021.

In his first two seasons in the NFL, Bolton only missed one game, participating in 33 of 34 games. He had already missed three games this season and will be sidelined for much longer.

Chiefs HC Andy Reid comments on Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift

With Taylor Swift in attendance at Arrowhead Stadium once again, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce put on one heck of a show in Sunday’s game against the Chargers. And it’s prompted head coach Andy Reid to extend a permanent invitation for the pop star to stick around Kansas City.

Kelce put up monster numbers in Sunday’s 31-17 victory. The tight end totaled 12 catches for 179 yards and a touchdown in the victory. Swift, who is dating Kelce, attended the game, her fourth of the season.

After the game, Reid essentially extended an invitation for Swift to come to any game she likes. Especially if Kelce continues to put up these type of numbers.

“Kelce keeps getting better with time,” Reid said. “Taylor can stay around all she wants.”

Kelce has now put up 100-yard receiving performances in back-to-back games. He had nine catches for 124 yards in last week’s 19-8 win over the Broncos. Yes, Swift attended that game, as well.

Kansas City now owns a 6-1 record this season, losing only the season opener to Detroit. Kelce did not play in the Week 1 contest.

Through six games this season, the tight end has hauled in 48 passes for 525 yards and four touchdowns. He is well on his way to another 1,000-yard year.
