Report: Haason Reddick agency parting ways with New York Jets LB amid holdout
According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, agency CAA is parting way with current New York Jets linebacker Haason Reddick. There has been a long holdout from Reddick after being traded from the Philadelphia Eagles as he has yet to play a snap this season.
“Sources: CAA is parting ways with #Jets passer rusher Haason Reddick, who is the NFL’s last holdout,” Rapoport said via X. “Reddick has not shown up at the facility, has collected millions in fines and his situation currently has no end in sight.
New York thought they made one of the moves of the offseason but acquiring Reddick via trade from Philadelphia. The Jets took on most of his contract but also took a conditional third-round pick assuming Reddick played 67.5% of snaps and recorded 10 sacks. Considering he has yet to play, the full value of the trade will not be realized.
Now, Reddick continues his holdout without an agency representing him. As Rapoport mentioned in his report, millions of dollars in fines have been collected and there is “no end in sight” for the pass rusher or the Jets.

Alabama WR to transfer
Reddick has been one of the NFL’s top pass rushers the past couple of seasons, being voted to the Pro Bowl in 2022 and 2023. Four straight years have we seen him recording double-digit sacks with a career-high 16 taking place in 2022 with the Eagles. Some of his production came while wearing Arizona Cardinals and Carolina Panthers uniforms as well, making the Jets his fourth team in five years.
New York was hoping to get similar production when making the trade. Even with the lofty conditions, a third-round pick is valued by a ton of NFL general managers and good enough for Philadelphia to move on from Reddick. But thus far, nothing has worked out. The process is only going to get harder with Riddick not having any representation moving forward.
