According to Cleveland.com’s Mary Kay Cabot, the Cleveland Browns have hosted two SEC quarterbacks for top 30 visits. Both Alabama‘s Jalen Milroe and Jaxson Dart of Ole Miss met with the Browns, the current holder of the No. 2 overall pick.

“Alabama QB Jalen Milroe also made a top 30 visit to the #Browns today along with Jaxson Dart, league source tells clevelanddotcom,” Cabot said via X.

For the most part, either Dart or Milroe being selected at No. 2 would be a massive shock to the NFL Draft world. Cleveland also owns the first pick of the second round, No. 33 overall.

Milroe and Dart have been linked with first-round selections but the Browns might be doing some due diligence just in case one slips out of Thursday night. Maybe there is a scenario where they trade back into the first round.

In the latest mock draft from ESPN’s Mel Kiper, Dart goes No. 26 overall to the Los Angeles Rams. Milroe would be there for Cleveland to select at No. 33 but Kiper pencils them in for Louisville quarterback Tyler Shough. One pick later, Milroe is taken by the New York Giants.

Nothing goes unnoticed this time of year when it comes to the NFL Draft. And when a team needs a quarterback, every visit is going to raise some eyebrows. The Browns are no different, having conversations with two of the top names in this year’s class.

More on Jalen Milroe, Jaxson Dart ahead of 2025 NFL Draft

Milroe spent two seasons as the Alabama starting quarterback. The results were a mixed bag, specifically during his lone campaign under Kalen DeBoer. At one point, there was discussion of Milroe going No. 1 overall. Other times, you wondered how far down the board Milroe would drop.

The arm talent mixed with elite dual-threat ability is what has teams like Cleveland interested in him. Milroe threw for 2,844 yards and 16 touchdowns while rushing for 726 yards and 20 touchdowns. Eleven interceptions are on the resume too.

As for Dart, he was a three-year starter at Ole Miss under Lane Kiffin. Arguably no quarterback in the latter stages of the cycle has seen his stock increase more. Dart ranked third in passing yards at 4,279 during the 2024 season. Adding 29 touchdowns and just six interceptions shows why NFL teams could be eager to get their hands on Dart.
