The Las Vegas Raiders have signed Pro Bowl defensive end Maxx Crosby to a three-year, $106.5 million contract extension that includes $91.5 guaranteed, the team announced Wednesday. The $91.5 million guaranteed makes Crosby the highest paid non-quarterback in NFL History, according to ESPN insider Adam Schefter.

Crosby has been a revelation in Las Vegas — and Oakland before that — after being drafted by the Raiders in the fourth round ofthe 2019 NFL Draft out of Eastern Michigan. The 6-foot-5, 255-pound defensive end made his fourth consecutive Pro Bowl in 2024 after leading the team in sacks (7.5), tackles for loss (17), quarterback hits (20) and quarterback pressures (35) despite landing on injured reserve on Dec. 18.

For his career, Crosby has totaled 364 tackles (232 solo), 105 tackles for loss, 59.5 sacks, 23 passes defended, nine forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries over his first six NFL seasons.

Maxx Crosby calls for Aaron Rodgers to join Las Vegas Raiders

Aaron Rodgers will be playing somewhere new in the 2025 season. The New York Jets recently released the quarterback after just two seasons with the franchise. If Rodgers does sign somewhere else, it will be the third team of his career.

If you ask Maxx Crosby, No. 12 head out West to play for the Las Vegas Raiders. Crosby believes a big season is coming from Rodgers, nearly two years removed from his Achilles injury. Las Vegas is in desperate need of a quarterback and Crosby certainly made his pitch.

“I think with all the doubt, all the negativity around Aaron Rodgers — ‘Oh, he needs to retire.’ Things like that, he’s getting cut by the Jets. I know he’s 42 or 41… I think he’s going to have a big year this year. I hope it’s in our town,” Crosby said.

In 17 games last season, Rodgers threw for 3,897 yards, 28 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. Team success was not there for the Jets, finishing with a 5-12 record. Not what they were expecting even as Rodgers was getting back to full strength.

Crosby did point out how recovering from an Achilles is one of the more difficult processes in sports. Rodgers was not the only quarterback to go through the injury last season.

“The first year off an Achilles is one of the hardest things to do,” Crosby said. “You seen it happen with Kirk (Cousins). Kirk had a down year. It happened with Aaron. He struggled early on but got better as the season went.”
