Report: Mother of Chiefs WR Rashee Rice accused of stealing Chappell Roan records from neighbor
Rashee Rice‘s mother is being accused of stealing a package from a neighbor’s front door, and the event has been captured on video.
The homeowner’s doorbell camera has been revealed and it captured a woman in a Rashee Rice jersey, customized to spell ‘Momma Rice’ across the back, walking past their front door. Before leaving the camera’s shot, she appearing to glance down at something at the front of their neighbor’s door. Some time later, she walked past the door once again and appears to pick up the package and walk outside of the camera’s range with it in-hand.
The package has been revealed to contain limited edition records by artist Chappell Roan.
The incident occured after the Chiefs defeated the Chargers in Los Angeles over the weekend, according to the inital report by TMZ. The report also revealed that a police report was filed on Wednesday regarding the alleged incident.
It wasn’t the best day for the Rice family, either, as Rice himself suffered a knee injury during the first half of Kansas City’s road win over the Chargers.

Rice, a 2023 second round pick out of SMU, entered Sunday’s game third in the NFL with 24 receptions to go along with 288 yards and two touchdowns. His absence left a massive hole in the Chiefs’ receiving core, who were already without Hollywood Brown during the game.
In his absence, several Chiefs stepped up with Rice sidelined, none more so than tight end Travis Kelce. Kelce, held to just eight receptions for 69 yards in the first three games of the season, came down with a team-leading seven catches for 89 yards in the victory over Los Angeles. Rookie wideout Xavier Worthy added 73 yards on three receptions, including a 54-yard score late in the second quarter.
As Rice’s injury status remains up in the air, the report against his mother is yet to be resolved as of this report.
