Scott Hanson will be featured in the upcoming video game Madden NFL 26. According to MLFootball, the NFL Redzone host will be the new in-game voice of the game produced by EA Sports.

The news comes a few months before Madden NFL 26 will be released for multiple gaming consoles. It’s not clear if Hanson will be the only voice heard in the Madden as multiple broadcasters were featured in last year’s game, including Mike Tirico, Greg Olsen, Brandon Gaudin and Charles Davis.

Scott Hanson is known for being the host of NFL Redzone, an NFL Network program that shows every scoring play in all the Sunday NFL games. He is in the final year of his contract with the Network.

Back in August 2021, Hanson talked about doing a seven-hour show without a bathroom break. “I could take a bathroom break if I absolutely had to have an emergency,” Hanson said on 670 The Score with hosts Danny Parkins and Jason Goff. “But I’ve trained myself – we’re going into season 13 here – so 12 years, I’ve trained myself. I dehydrate myself in the beginning of Sunday mornings, cut off all liquids, don’t drink anything during the show.

“I use the facilities twice in the last hour before the show begins. As you guys know, we do the five-minute countdown clock – people tell me they love watching the countdown clock – when you’re watching that clock count down, you’re going to hear a flush if my microphone is open because I’m in the restroom the last two minutes before we go live. I’m rocking and rolling. I could take a break, but I don’t want to miss any touchdowns, so I legit just stay locked into the studio there. Nature doesn’t win out.”

More information about Madden NFL 26 will be revealed in the coming months, but EA Sports confirmed that the game will be available for the new Nintendo Switch 2 console. “We’re excited to bring two of our most beloved franchises – EA SPORTS FC and Madden NFL – to Nintendo’s Switch 2, giving fans even more ways to play the sports they love, anytime and anywhere,” EA said in a statement to Eurogamer. “Both experiences are being built specifically for the new handheld platform, grounded in what fans enjoy from our franchises across platforms. We look forward to sharing more soon.”
