Report: Ole Miss WR Juice Wells signs UDFA deal with New York Giants

The New York Giants have reportedly made a big-time splash in the undrafted free agent market. According to Arye Pulli, Ole Miss wide receiver Juice Wells will be heading to the Big Apple. Wells was one of the SEC’s top players last season and is now getting his professional career underway.
“Source: The #Giants are signing Ole Miss WR Antwane ‘Juice’ Wells to an UDFA deal,” Pulli said via X. “Wells had 553 receiving yards and 6 TDs last season in a loaded WR room with both Jordan Watkins and Tre Harris.”
Wells spent his college days at four different schools, beginning with Fork Union Military during the 2019 season. James Madison then accepted the wide receiver out of the NCAA transfer portal before making a jump up to the SEC with South Carolina.
Two years in Columbia were highly successful, starting in 16 games. He caught 71 receptions for 965 yards and seven touchdowns. South Carolina relied on him in the pass game so when he decided to leave the program, it was a massive loss for Shane Beamer.
Lane Kiffin decided to take advantage and brought Wells to Ole Miss. All 13 of the Rebels’ games saw Wells take the field, starting in seven of them. Wells went for 553 yards and five touchdowns while catching 28 passes.

“I think Juice has rehabbed really well. He has trained really hard,” Kiffin said of Wells during the preseason, who was dealing with an injury at the time. “He seems to be highly competitive at things and really wanting to get better. I’ve been very pleased with Juice.”
Flipping attention to what is ahead of Wells at the professional level, a great opportunity is ahead with the Giants. One season after drafting Malik Nabers and finding instant success, they may be looking for the same out of an SEC wide receiver.
Most notably, there will be a connection for Wells with a fellow rookie. Jaxson Dart was drafted by New York after trading back into the first round on Thursday night. No better way to help out your future guy than getting one of his favorite targets from this past campaign.
Rookie minicamp should be a familiar setting for Dart and Wells. While they might be in New York, wearing a Giants helmet, it might feel like they are back in Oxford playing for Ole Miss. A nice landing spot for the wide receiver.
