Report: Pittsburgh Steelers among teams interested in trading for Davante Adams
The Pittsburgh Steelers seem interested in trading for star wide receiver Davante Adams. According to Dianna Russini of The Athletic, the Steelers and Las Vegas Raiders have been keeping an open line of communication, and there have been discussions about a trade.
This news comes after Ian Rapoport and Mike Garfolo of the NFL Network reported that Adams requested a trade from the Raiders. Currently, Las Vegas is 2-2 and coming off a win over the Cleveland Browns.
Before Adams reportedly requested a trade, Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce appeared to “like” an Instagram post that included a screenshot of Sports Illustrated‘s Michael Fabiano telling fans not to be surprised if Afams has played his last snap with the Raiders.
Davante Adams is not ‘stirring the pot’
While appearing on FanDuel’s Up and Adams, Davante Adams told Kay Adams said he hasn’t spoken to Peirce since the post. “I haven’t heard from [Pierce]. I haven’t talked to him,” Adams said. “Don’t really know exactly what that was about. … It’s one of those situations where I just keep my head down keep doing my thing and let the chips fall where they may. There’s been no communication with anybody from the team since that became a thing. But it’s kind of just like the weekly, ‘What’s up with Tae?’ thing. It’s always some sort of drama. But, at the end of the day, 17 doesn’t create any of it.

“So, people can say what they want, but I’m just chilling and trying to be the model for not stirring the pot and just locking in and doing what I got to do.”
