Skip Bayless has found his new sparring partner on FS1 amid the departure of Shannon Sharpe from the network in June.

According to Andrew Marchand of the New York Post, former NFL cornerback Richard Sherman will join Bayless on “Undisputed.” Sherman will appear on the show alongside Bayless for “around 50-100 shows per year,” the majority coming during football season. Marchand added that while a contract hasn’t been signed, an agreement is in place. Sherman will remain on Amazon Prime Video‘s “Thursday Night Football” studio show.

Sherman, who retired from the NFL following the 2021 season, had an infamous run-in with Bayless back in 2013, when the 71-year-old was on ESPN‘s “First Take.” The three-time All-Pro went as far to say that Bayless had never accomplished anything. Bayless recalled the incident on his podcast last year, and said he felt “blindsided.”

“He personally attacked me,” Bayless said, via Awful Announcing. “Unrelentingly attacked me. So much for ‘please no controversy today.’ I immediately felt ambushed, bushwhacked, set up, blindsided. I was suddenly… forced to fight without fighting… Had to defend myself with both hands tied behind my back.”

A decade later, the two are reunited. Bayless and Sherman reportedly sealed the deal last month at The Peninsula Beverly Hills hotel.

Skip Bayless adds Richard Sherman to ‘Undisputed’ panel

In addition to Sherman, Bayless will be joined by rapper Lil Wayne for a weekly segment on the show each Friday. Bayless added that Lil Wayne may not be in studio each week due to his touring schedule.

“If he’s hot, if he’s rolling, who knows, maybe we’ll keep him for a segment, if he has the time,” Bayless recently said. “That you can look forward to. He is so deep when it comes to sports. He doesn’t yell or scream, but he does get emotional. And you hang on his every word because trust me he has thought through every single word.

“I like to think that I see things and say things that others don’t. Wayne is my match. That’s why I love him so much. That’s why we text so much about sports. We’re kindred spirits, but we do see things differently, but very deeply.”
