Report: Travis Kelce has 'no plans' to propose to Taylor Swift 'anytime soon'

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are a happy couple, but there likely won’t be wedding bells for them in the foreseeable future. According to US Weekly, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end is not planning to propose to Swift right now.

“Travis has no plans on proposing to Taylor anytime soon,” an insider told US Weekly. “It’s not even on his radar. Marriage is something he takes very seriously and not something he would ever just jump into without giving it some careful consideration.”

The source went on to say that Kelce, 34, “cares very deeply” about Swift, 34. But when it comes to getting engaged, “he’s just not there yet.”

Kelce has been in Europe with the 14-time Grammy Award winner as she continues to the international leg of her Eras Tour. The couple has supported each other since they went public with their relationship in September 2023.

“Travis and Taylor have no plans on getting engaged this summer,” another told Us Weekly in January. “Things between them are going amazing, but they haven’t even been together for a year yet and still have so much to learn about each other.”

The relationship was made public when Swift attended a Chiefs game on Sept. 24. A few days later, Kelce went on the New Heights podcast to thank Swift for attending the game.

“Shout out to Taylor for pulling up. That was pretty ballsy,” Kelce said before adding “I just thought it was awesome how everybody in the suite had nothing but great things to say about her — the friends and family. She looked amazing and everybody was talking about her in great light.”

He continued, “To see the slow motion chest bumps, to see the high fives with Mom, to see how, you know, Chiefs kingdom was all excited that she was there — that s— was absolutely hysterical and it was definitely a game I’ll remember, that’s for damn sure.”

In the December/January issue of WSJ Magazine, Kelce talked about his first official meet-up with Swift. “When I met her in New York, we had already kind of been talking, so I knew we could have a nice dinner and, like, a conversation, and what goes from there will go from there,” he said.

Kelce also revealed that spending time with Swift has been a great experience, admitting, “I’ve never been a man of words. Being around her, seeing how smart Taylor is, has been f— mind-blowing. I’m learning every day.”
