The Buffalo Bills picked up a significant win by knocking off the undefeated Miami Dolphins by a score of 48-20. However, they also suffered quite the blow on the injury front with the latest regarding CB Tre’Davious White.

Per Jeff Darlington at ESPN, White, who was carted off the field on Sunday with what was said to be an Achilles injury, is likely to have torn the tendon. The seventh-year defensive back will go for an MRI on Monday to verify the belief that his season is over after four games.

White posted three tackles, a pass deflection, and a quarterback hit during the 28-point win over Miami. For the season, he has a dozen tackles with a pair of deflections along with one interception.

As a former first-round pick out of LSU, White has made a significant impact on Buffalo’s defense during his time with the franchise. As a two-time Pro Bowler and one-time All-Pro in the NFL, he has helped the Bills put up a top-five defense in four of the past five years.

More will come as everyone awaits the result of White’s test that will take place sometime tomorrow. Still, it appears that the 28-year-old’s season will be coming to an unfortunate end after his injury earlier today.

More on White’s non-contact Achilles injury

Late in the third quarter of the Buffalo Bills game against the Miami Dolphins, Bills DB Tre’Davious White went down with what appeared to be a leg injury. He wasn’t able to walk off under his own power and was taken to the locker room on a cart.

The injury was a non-contact one and came while White was in coverage against Tyreek Hill. He turned to run with Hill before pulling up and going to the ground.

Tre’Davious White’s face was buried in a towel following the injury, apparently fearing the worst.

Buffalo has had an excellent afternoon, running away with a key AFC East game against the Miami Dolphins. However, this injury is going to put a major damper on things. The extent of the injury may not yet be known, but it was a scary moment that didn’t look good.

After being injured, Bills players circled up around Tre’Davious White on the field, showing their love for their injured teammate.

Buffalo hopes to make a deep playoff run in 2023. However, the Bills may be without one of their best defensive players moving forward.
