Buffalo Bills linebacker Von Miller turned himself into police on Thursday evening, according to TMZ Sports. He was booked at the Glenn Heights Police Department in Glenn Heights, Texas at around 4:00 PM CST on Thursday.

The former Texas A&M star has been accused of getting into a violent altercation with a pregnant woman this week. He’s accused of shoving her, pulling her hair, and putting his hands around her neck in a heated altercation, according to the report.

According to multiple reports, Miller has already left the Glenn Heights City Jail on a $5,000 bond posted by Express Bail Bond in Dallas, Texas.

More information on the domestic violence charge

Buffalo Bills linebacker Von Miller is facing a possible felony domestic violence charge back in Texas, his home state, after his pregnant girlfriend told police he’d assaulted her.

Miller grew up in the Dallas area. Dallas TV station WFAA reported that Miller’s longtime girlfriend told police that he assaulted her in their Dallas home, Wednesday morning. The TV station said this information was based on sources they didn’t publicly identify.

A representative of the Dallas Police Department confirmed to WFAA that they have issued an arrest warrant.

The Bills are off this week. In a statement to the media, Bills officials said:

“This morning, we were made aware of an incident involving Von Miller. We are in the process of gathering more information and will have no further comment at this point.”

The NFL also issued a statement in regards to Miller. It said: “We are aware of the matter and have been in contact with the club. We will follow all legal developments. We have no further comment at this time.”

Von Miller faces possible third-degree felony charge

The alleged altercation happened Wednesday morning at Miller’s home in Dallas. The DPD said that officers went to Miller’s home after they received a call in regards to a “major disturbance.” The woman said she and Miller got into an argument and that he assaulted her.

WFAA reported that Miller left the home before officers arrived. Police said the girlfriend was treated for minor injuries at the scene.

Laws in the state of Texas consider a third-degree felony.

Two years ago, police in Parker, Colorado investigated Von Miller after his ex-girlfriend posted messages allegedly sent by the linebacker on social media. In one, Miller said he wished his girlfriend would have a miscarriage. Police never brought charges and the ex-girlfriend clarified that there had been no physical violence between the two of them.
