WATCH: Rich Eisen runs the 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine, NFL Network graphics guy eats it
Everyone thinks they can do what professional athletes can, whether that’s on or off the field. With that in mind, Rich Eisen at the NFL Network put that theory to the test in his attempt at the 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine against a member of the network’s graphics staff who maybe shouldn’t have taken part in the race.
Eisen clocked in a decent enough run as he beat out the GFX worker. However, a big reason for that is the employee took quite a tumble at the 20-yard line which completely took him out of the running.
Several prospects have impressed in the 40-yard dash so far this weekend at the combine in Indianapolis. While Eisen wasn’t necessarily one of them, he at least got to finish the run on his feet compared to his competition.

One of those backs was former Alabama Crimson Tide ballcarrier Jahmyr Gibbs, who last season proved himself to be one of the most versatile players out of the backfield in the country.
Gibbs showed off plenty of speed on plenty of occasions during his one season with the Crimson Tide, but officially got to show just how fast he was at the combine. Gibbs did not disappoint, clocking an unofficial 4.36-second 40-yard dash at the combine, putting his blazing speed on display in front of NFL coaches, scouts, and general managers.
Gibbs ran a 4.40-second 40-yard dash in his first attempt, which would have been the fourth fastest time of the day among running backs. But he took his speed up a notch in his second attempt, finishing with the second fastest time of the day for a running back only behind Texas A&M‘s Devon Achane, who clocked a blazing 4.32-second 40-yard dash time.
