Rickie Fowler had an interesting outfit while competing in the Waste Management Phoenix Open on Thursday. The PGA star was seen wearing a camouflage shirt, pants and hat during the first day of the tournament.

The outfit is from Realtree, which is “the creator and marketer of the world’s most versatile camo patterns,” according to its website. Tyler Jordan, the vice president of Realtree, sent a message to Fowler after seeing him in the camouflage outfit.

“Thanks for the collab Rickie Fowler,” Jordan wrote on X.

Fowler’s outfit is part of a partnership Realtree has with Puma Golf. “Launching this collection at the Waste Management Open, a stage known for its energy and excitement, is the perfect way to celebrate our shared passion for the outdoors and the game of golf,” Jordan said in a press release.

“In many ways, golfers are no different than other outdoorsmen. They value performance, style, comfort, and showing their love of the outdoors through their golf gear,” Chris MacNeill, a Global Director at Puma Golf, said, per Golf Digest.

Rickie Fowler is hoping the camouflage outfit will help him get a win this weekend. The last time the 36-year-old won a tournament on the PGA Tour was the 2023 Rocket Mortgage Classic. In his career, the former Oklahoma State star has won six PGA Tour events. He has yet to win a major championship but has finished in the top three in all four events, including the Masters, where he finished second in 2018.

After winning the Rocket Mortgage Classic in 2023, Fowler got emotional since it was his first victory in four years. “It’s hard to really put it all into words,” Fowler said, per Sports Illustrated. “Obviously a lot of good stuff this year, been playing some really good golf. I knew it was just a matter of time with how I’ve been playing. I’ve had a couple tough weekends where I’ve had a chance. U.S. Open didn’t get it done.

“But at the end of the day, getting to hold her, getting to hang with Maya and my wife. Winning is great but there’s a lot more to life than that.”
