Ricky Stenhouse Jr. announces birth of son Stetson Steele
Great news for Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and his family! His son, Stetson Steele Stenhouse, was born yesterday and all appears well. The NASCAR driver was on baby-watch last weekend in Nashville.
It’s always great when these things happen between races. There is little you can do when it comes to planning life in this world but be ready for it to happen whenever it may happen.
Ricy Stenhouse Jr. was able to celebrate his July 4th extra hard with the birth of his son. It appears baby Stetson and mom, Madyson, are doing well.
Drivers are always trying to schedule the rest of their lives around the race schedule. NASCAR is especially difficult on drivers and their families.
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. thought that he was going to have to take off from Music City last week. It must be nice, for the moment, to be able to have this happen between races. Of course, Stenhouse has to go to Chicago this weekend, so it is a short-lived moment, but a great one, nonetheless.
Before Nashville, Stenhouse was having a strong run. Iowa and New Hampshire ended with P5 and P7 finishes. This 47 team is not doing as well as they did in 2023, but there is still time. With Daytona on the schedule, Stenhouse is always a threat to win.
There are still three races this season, Pocono, Atlanta, and Bristol, that Stenhouse had a top-10 finish at in 2023. That means there are still opportunities for him to have strong runs and end the season on a high note.

Regardless of what happens for Stenhouse at Chicago, he’s already won at life this week.
Ricky Stenhosue Jr. hoping to survive at Chicago
Let’s be honest, Stenhouse is not the best road course race. He is not great at street races, either. There have been times where he has been able to run relatively well, hold his own. However, no one expects the 47 car to go out and win at Chicago this Sunday.
Last year in this race, it was rough for Stenhouse. The wet track and adverse conditions caused headaches for the entire field. But there were some who found themselves wrecking or in the tires more than others.
At the end of the day, Stenhouse was P34 at Chicago, and still running at the end. So really, there is a lot of room for improvement. What this team has lacked that they had last season was a consistent threat to be in the top-15. That has not been there for much of this season.
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. is now a dad. Let’s see if those newfound superpowers make themselves known on the race track this weekend.
