Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Hyak Motorsports announce Sunny D as returning sponsor for 2025
For the 2025 NASCAR season, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and the newly renamed Hyak Motorsports will bring a key sponsor back to the No. 47 car. Sunny D is going to return to the car for the 2023 Daytona 500 champion.
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Hyak are entering a new era. No longer is the team JTG Daugherty, and they no longer have the Kroger sponsorship. RFK Racing has taken that major partner from them.
For Stenhouse, this is a big deal. Maintaining any sponsors after losing a big fish like Kroger is a must. Of course, it appears that NOS Energy will also return to sponsor the 47 car.
The Sunny D paint scheme hasn’t changed a lot, if any. This is one of those looks that doesn’t really need to be changed. The orange, blue, and yellow are just about perfect. Is it the most amazing scheme? No, but it is effective and looks good on track.
It is a wonder who Hyak will get to replace Kroger during the season. I assume it will be a number of partners, both old and new. Coming off his win at Talladega last fall, Stenhouse is ready to put another car in victory lane.

Maybe add another Daytona 500 trophy to his collection?
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. still has wins left in his career
While underrated in his Cup Series career, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. is still a talented driver with a few years at least in his career. He is clearly capable of winning races. He has four in his career, and is hoping to add another one or two before he reaches 40.
Of course, a two-time Xfinity Series champion, talented and decorated on dirt, Stenhouse has his bonafide. But Cup racing isn’t easy. There is a big talent gap between Xfinity and Cup and that is made wider by gaps in the garage or on pit road.
NASCAR goes to six superspeedway races a year. Two dates each for Daytona, Atlanta, and Talladega. Given those odds each season, Stenhouse should feel pretty good about his chances to earn another win in 2025 and beyond.
Going into 2025, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. has a chance to make it three years in a row with a win. He had never won in back-to-back years until picking up his Talladega victory last year. Daytona in 2023, Talladega in 2024, is Atlanta in 2025 next to fall for Stenhouse?
