More on the career of Robbie Lawler

The incredible career of Robbie Lawler is coming to a close and everyone will be glad it’s in a positive manner. Already in the UFC Hall of Fame, Lawler has always been a fan favorite. While his overall career will be remembered in a positive light, finishing with a knockout is something special.

Heading into Saturday night, Lawler was one of the oldest fighters remaining in the UFC. He began with the league back in the early 2000s and finished with a 30-16-1 record. Capping his career off with 30 wins, it was knockout No. 22 against Price.

Lawler was once the UFC Welterweight champion of the world, having the distinction from Dec. 2014 until July 2016, being knocked out by Tyron Woodley. He defended the belt successfully on two different occasions as well.

Now with the career all wrapped up, Lawler can move out of the octagon and enjoy life. But not without going out in style, giving Price an early shower at UFC 290.
