ESPN analyst and former pro quarterback Robert Griffin III pleaded for the NFL to reschedule tonight’s playoff game between the Dolphins and Chiefs.

Griffin’s ask came hours after New York Governor Kathy Hochul announced that Sunday’s playoff game between the Steelers and Bills would be moved back a today because of the treacherous weather conditions forecast for the Buffalo area.

RG3 tweeted: “The Dolphins-Chiefs game should be postponed too. -1 degree weather, with wind chills of -30 degrees, snow and 29 mph winds IS NOT SAFE for players or fans and IS NOT FOOTBALL WEATHER.”

No doubt, Chiefs-Dolphins will be one of coldest games on record

Forecasts for tonight’s playoff at Arrowhead Stadium suggest that the Chiefs-Dolphins game could be one of the chilliest in NFL history. The social media account for the stadium shared video of the field Saturday afternoon. Dank and chilly come to mind. It was snowing. And the white stuff covered the field. But unlike what was forecast for Buffalo, it’s not white-out conditions caused by lake effect snow.

Currently, the Kansas City area is under a wind chill warning. The temperatures could reach as low as minus 10 tonight, although that’s not at game time. Snow flurries are possible. Because of the deep freeze conditions, Chiefs-Dolphins tickets are dirt cheap on the secondary market. The Kansas City Star reported that ticket prices are lower than for what it costs to park.

The Bills-Steelers will kick Monday afternoon, when weather conditions are expected to improve. In the meantime, the Bills are asking for help from fans to help shovel snow inside Highmark Stadium. The Bills social media team then shared a surreal video from inside the stadium. You can see the goalposts. Everything else is blurred out from the snow.

The Chiefs are mostly dealing with frigid temperatures, although snow did cover the tarp. The KC social media team took video of star Travis Kelce walking from the parking lot to the locker room. He was wearing a jacket and black leather pants. Even in the cold, you need to look good.
