On Thursday night, Robert Griffin III had incredibly high praise for Colorado’s dynamic duo of Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter.

Griffin III tweeted about the pair with their respective performances in the 31-26 opening win for the Buffaloes over North Dakota State. While both are projected as top selections in the 2025 NFL Draft, he went a step further by stating either one could not only be top-five picks but each could end up justifying being the No. 1 overall one come April.

Only one of the two could end up seeing that come to realization. However, that even being a conversation alone says a lot about what they are at this point within the draft.

Sanders opened the season by completing 26 passes at 76.5% for 445 yardsfour touchdowns, and an interception. It was the second-best passing yardage and completion rate and tied for his second-most touchdowns in his time at Colorado. That further made his case as one of the best quarterbacks in the country both at the collegiate level and for the next level.

As great as Sanders was, Hunter was just as much of a sensation, if not more so, on both units. On offense, he made more of a mark with seven catches for 132 yards and a trio of touchdowns. That was the second-most yardage and the most scores he has ever had as a Buffalo. That’s before getting to his three tackles and coverage on defense.

Sanders and Hunter have each justified themselves as top prospects for the NFL. The question now is which could further come into being the top selection and how high the pair of them go in the first round next season.

Tyreek Hill calls for Travis Hunter to be the No. 1 overall pick in 2025 NFL Draft

Tyreek Hill believes Travis Hunter needs to be the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Hill was evidently impressed with Hunter’s incredible play against North Dakota State in Thursday’s opener for the Buffaloes. Afterward, the professional pass-catcher took to social media to heap praise on Hunter and his potential.

“Whoever got that first pick , idc if you need a Lineman or QB Travis Hunter is one of one,” Hill tweeted.
