Following the Ambetter Health 400 on Sunday at the Atlanta Motor Speedway, Ross Chastain had some choice words for Carson Hocevar. He wasn’t the only one.

Multiple drivers went over to Hocevar after the race to express their displeasure, including Ryan Blaney.

It was a tense finish at Atlanta.

And apparently the words after the race finished weren’t all that satisfactory to Chastain, who told Alan Cavanna that he didn’t wish to share what the two talked about but indicated he did not hear what he wanted from Hocevar in response.

“No sir,” Chastain said.

The race appeared to be heading toward a three-wide finish in overtime after William Byron and Austin Cindric were wrecked in the final laps, triggering the extra period of racing.

Hocevar was near the front of the field on the restart, and he moved around quite a bit as he tried to jockey for position. That might not have sat well with Chastain, who probably wanted to sit and draft with Hocevar for a bit longer.

Blaney, meanwhile, had significant reason to beef with the driver of the No. 77. He was spun by Hocevar in the final laps in regulation, driving at the low side of the track when Hocevar got into his back bumper unevenly and sent him around.

That ruined an otherwise excellent night for Blaney.

In any case, it appears Carson Hocevar will have some mending of relationships to do going forward. It’s never a good sign when multiple drivers confront you after a race.

Kyle Busch irate after Carson Hocevar move

The first stage in Atlanta went by fast. While there wasn’t a wreck there was a lot of hard racing between drivers like Kyle Busch and Carson Hocevar. In fact, the two Chevy NASCAR teammates had a little bit of bad blood after the opening stint.

Kyle Busch apparently didn’t take too kindly to Hocevar’s driving. He threatened to wreck him on the radio when talking to his crew chief and spotter.

And Kyle Busch let Carson Hocevar know how he felt, too.

“Go tell the 77 he’s done that same f*****g move 10 times,” Busch said. “I don’t care if I wreck the whole f*****g field, I’m over him. He’s a f*****g d*******g, I’m going to wreck his ass.”
