After starting from the pole, Ross Chastain bounced back in a big way and won the Ally 400 at Nashville Superspeedway. The Melon Man is a NASCAR winner once again. Chastain has been looking for that big win on the year and it has come in Music City. Trackhouse Racing is back in Victory Lane.

For the first time since Talladega 2022, Ross Chastain is a race winner in the Cup Series. Once again, Chastain will compete in the NASCAR playoffs. Can he make it back to the Championship 4?

Not only did Chastain win, he did it from the pole position after leading for 99 laps. A huge boost for his confidence moving forward.

Hide the watermelons! Ross Chastain is a winner yet again!

This win is major. Chastain liked his car’s setup and knew he had long-run speed. I had Chastain in my “Drivers with questions to answer” this week and for the second half of the season.

He has answered those questions and more. You win the pole, win the race, and walk away with delicious watermelon in Victory Lane. Chastain gets the guitar and gets his spot in the postseason.

Ross Chastain gets going at the right time

If Ross Chastain is finding his groove on these intermediate tracks, then other drivers should be worried. Mainly, guys like Chase Elliott. Chastain was in a spot where he needed to win to prove he could still do it. Elliott needs to win to save his playoff hopes. Chastain would have made it on points at the very least.

With this win, Chastain can stretch his legs a bit. The pressure of not winning melts away and you get to walk around with some swagger again. Chastain had that swagger earlier this season when he was leading the series in points. Then, he lost it for a few weeks. He’s definitely back!

If Ross Chastain is winning races, that is good for NASCAR. He is the guy that drives headlines and drama in the series and more. Having him win races and do so in an impressive fashion is always good.

Put Chastain near the front to start a race and you will have a hard time getting him out of the way. The Melon Man had to battle lap traffic as well as Martin Truex Jr. who is still on a hot streak better than everyone not named William Byron this season.

Ross Chastain is a winner. He hasn’t lost his edge on the track and things are going to get even more interesting from here on out.
