Russell Gage Jr., Tampa Bay Buccaneers update his health following scary incident Monday night
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Russell Gage released a statement following a scary injury in the team’s Wild Card playoff loss to the Dallas Cowboys.
Gage suffered a neck injury and concussion and had to be carted off as the Bucs attempted a late rally in the 31-14 loss. Gage fell to the ground and was struck in the side of the head as he went for a catch.
But Gage said he was improving and appreciated the well wishes.
I appreciate all of the texts, calls, thoughts and prayers you all have expressed towards my family and I,” Gage wrote on Twitter. “I just wanted to let you all know that I’m doing great and in great spirits! Thank you! (Praying emoji).”
The Bucs also released an official injury update on Gage Tuesday morning, following an overnight stay at the hospital.
