Russell Wilson gives Steelers offensive line impressive lineup of gifts for Christmas
Pittsburgh Steelers (10-5) quarterback Russell Wilson is in a giving mood this holiday season.
As is the trend around the league, quarterbacks often deliver gifts to their offensive linemen — a thank you for helping to keep them upright throughout the season. Wilson gifted the big men up front a few different items: A $10,000 Airbnb gift card that can be used anywhere around the globe, Louis Vuitton duffel bag in Steelers colors, custom-made Steelers Good Man Brand shoes (Wilson’s premium men’s clothing brand) and a bottle of his wife Ciara’s TenToOne Rum.
Wilson is in his first year with the Steelers but has wasted no time in ingratiating himself with his teammates. A 12-year veteran and Super Bowl champion, Wilson has led Pittsburgh to a 6-3 record since taking over under center in Week 7.
Released from the Denver Broncos this past offseason following two underwhelming seasons, Wilson has looked more like the quarterback who went to nine Pro Bowls during his time with the Seattle Seahawks. The 36-year-old has thrown for 2,129 yards, 15 touchdowns and four interceptions on 64.9% passing.
Russell Wilson, Steelers searching for offense to close 2024 season
Wilson and the Steelers, however, have taken a step back on offense over the past couple weeks with receiver George Pickens sidelined with a hamstring injury. The Steelers have scored just 30 points in Week 15 and 16 losses to the Philadelphia Eagles and Baltimore Ravens, respectively. The latest defeat was a 34-17 drubbing at the hands of the Ravens.

The Steelers remain atop the AFC North with two games remaining. First up — a Christmas Day showdown against the Kansas City Chiefs.
“We play on Wednesday,” Wilson said after the game. “I don’t think there’s enough time to really sulk or worry or fear. … The one thing I’m not going to do is keep my head down, though. I know for us we got so much great confidence in who we are and what we can do and how we’re going to respond.
“We can’t let a tough game like this take us into a negative state of mind because there’s a lot more to play for and a lot more we’re searching for, and we can still win the [AFC] North. There’s still a lot of opportunity there, too, as well. And so we just got to buckle down and get back to work.”
