The Pittsburgh Steelers released their injury report for the Week 2 matchup against the Denver Broncos and there’s an update on Russell Wilson. The Super Bowl champion quarterback, who is dealing with a calf injury, was limited in practice on Wednesday. Other Steelers who are on the injury report are WR Roman Wilson (ankle, limited), CB Darius Rush (concussion, limited), OL Dan Moore Jr. (ankle, did not practice), OL Isaac Seumalo (pectoral, DNP) and DL Larry Ogunjobi (knee, limited).

Wilson was named the Steelers’ starting QB before the start of the season but missed the season opener against the Falcons because of the calf injury. On Tuesday, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said he’s preparing as if Justin Fields gets the start on Sunday.

“He feels better (Tuesday) than he did over the weekend,” Tomlin said when asked about Wilson, per the Steelers’ official website. “What that means, I don’t know as we sit here today. I know that we’re going to take the same approach that we take with a lot of people in terms of injury. We’ll first start with his participation and his level of participation, his quality of participation. Over the course of the week, we’ll be analyzing whether he’s capable of protecting himself, whether he’s capable of being productive.

“When we get to those points, that’s when we’ll ponder his inclusion or not, and when that happens, we’ll probably be a component of that equation.”

Tomlin added: “Russell’s hurt. He’s not available to us. As you guys know as a general practice, I focus my energy on those that are available and their readiness. Just saw Justin. He just finished a good workout here (Tuesday). Excited about maybe going through a complete week with him in terms of the preparation process.”

The Steelers are coming off an 18-10 victory against the Falcons, and it was a game where the team didn’t score a touchdown. Kicker Chris Boswell led the way with six field goals, and linebacker T.J. Watt slowed down the Falcons’ offense with four tackles, two tackles for loss, one sack, three quarterback hits and one fumble recovery.
