Since he claimed the Bill France Cup last Sunday, Ryan Blaney is going to have to figure out what to do with it at home. I’m sure that Roger Penske will want it in his shop for a little bit, but eventually, the NASCAR champion is going to take it home.

Ryan Blaney was able to pick up three big trophies to end the season. He collected a Talladega victory, a grandfather clock from Martinsville, and of course, the Bill France Cup. I’m sure that at least two of those will be on display in the Blaney house one day.

While talking with Bob Pockrass of Fox Sports, Blaney pondered what he’s going to do with his newest addition.

“That’s a good question. I don’t normally keep trophies in my house,” Blaney explained. “Dad did build me a trophy case, though. It’s got all my first wins in it — K&N [ARCA East now] and trucks and Xfinity and Cup. And he might have to build me a new stand to put this one on because it’s a first. I think I’ve got a room picked out. We’ve just got to build something for it.”

A little father-son project? Sounds like Dave and Ryan Blaney have their work cut out for them. I’m sure that whatever they build will be worthy of such an award.

Heading into the offseason, Blaney has a lot of obligations. He’s got to do media, TV, radio, podcasts, awards shows, and more. With how well he closed out the last six weeks of the season, is he going to carry momentum into the 2024 season?

Ryan Blaney, Ford drivers get new ride

The Mustang Dark Horse is going to be the ride for Cup Series drivers next season. A new design on the body is going to give these teams and drivers some more options and a better handling car.

Ryan Blaney could be heading into a massive season. I know he just won the championship, but it isn’t like he won 10 races. That isn’t to bash Blaney, it’s to make this point: I believe he could have a big season in 2024.

Team Penske and Ford as a whole look to have figured things out. Seeing RFK Racing hit their stride during the second half of the season was promising for all Ford teams.

Maybe it was a flash in the pan during the playoffs. However, I have a feeling we could see Blaney with a newfound confidence in him, take that next step. Win a bunch of races, get a bunch of top-5 finishes. Right now, NASCAR is entering a new era as Kevin Harvick exits and the generation after him, Kyle Busch, Martin Truex Jr., and Denny Hamlin, are nearing the end of their own careers.

Ryan Blaney has a ton of opportunity in front of him, let’s see if he can continue to capitalize.
