Saints star Cam Jordan takes major shot at Vikings QB Kirk Cousins
New Orleans Saints star Cam Jordan isn’t biting his tongue when it comes to Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins.
While Cousins has consistently been among the top quarterbacks in the league in recent seasons, the signal caller has received a ton of flack throughout the NFL. Evidently, Jordan is more on the side of Cousins is overrated than a superstar.
Speaking on decision making at the professional level, Jordan used Cousins’ name as a verb, and not a good one if you’re a fan of the Vikings star.
“A fast, right decision, you’re a winner,” Jordan said. “And a slow, right decision, get your ass on the bench.”
“… Slow, right decisions, we love them. We call them, ‘Kirk Cousins.’”
Ouch. Jordan is basically using Cousins as an example for some subpar quarterback play. That’s not going to feel good when it gets back around to the Vikings quarterback.
Alas, the Saints will travel to US Bank Stadium on Sun. November 11 to face the Vikings, and that could be the next time Jordan and Cousins cross paths. Perhaps they’ll be able to have a little conversation about the trash talk.

Of course, the more likely possibility is that the two NFL veterans handle their business on the field. Jordan will be trying to sack Cousins the entire contest, while the quarterback will hope to sling it all over the field when the New Orleans defense is trying to stop him. Easier said than done.
In the past, the Saints and Vikings have linked up for some memorable matchups. Who could forget about the Miracle in Minneapolis? While Stefon Diggs is in Buffalo with the Bills now and Cousins was in Washington when it happened, it still remains fresh on the mind of Jordan and Saints fans everywhere.
For a more recent example, Cousins and the Vikings waltzed into Louisiana and defeated the Saints in the playoffs a couple of seasons ago, which broke a multitude of hearts in the Bayou. Cousins certainly wasn’t pulling a “Kirk Cousins” as Jordan would say during that game.
Regardless, the game between the Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints should have a lot of heat to it, as both teams will be fighting each other for playoff positioning at a critical time in the season. Now it’s just going to have a little more spice to it, as Cameron Jordan and Kirk Cousins do battle in 2023.
