WATCH:  Sam Hubbard makes NFL history with clutch 98-yard touchdown fumble return

With the Cincinnati Bengals tied with division rival the Baltimore Ravens early in the fourth quarter of a Wild Card playoff game Sunday, it looked as if Baltimore was about to score. The Ravens found themselves on the 2-yard line ready to punch in a touchdown when quarterback Tyler Huntley fumbled the ball at the goal line to completely flip the script.

Defensive end Sam Hubbard then delivered what would ultimately be the play of the game, scooping up the ball and returning it 98 yards for a touchdown to put the Bengals up 24-17. That would end up the final score as Cincinnati advanced to the divisional round.

The play also made history, as it was the longest go-ahead touchdown of any sort in the fourth quarter of a playoff game in NFL history. You can view the full play below.

Hubbard is in his fifth NFL season, all of which have come with the Bengals. The Ohio State product has been a starter for the past four seasons, and this year has recorded 60 tackles, 6.5 sacks and one forced fumble.

The fumble recovery from Hubbard might make headlines, but the Cincinnati defense was big in many other ways Sunday night. Akeem Davis-Gaither also came up with an interception in the first quarter the led to a Bengals touchdown on the ensuing drive.

Quarterback Joe Burrow finished 23-of-32 passing for 209 yards and one touchdown, adding another on the ground. Burrow led the Bengals to a Super Bowl last season, and will hope for another deep run in the playoffs to end this season.

With their win against the Ravens, the Bengals will advance to face Buffalo in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs next Sunday. Kickoff for the game is set for 3 p.m. ET.
