Sammy Watkins has found yet another new NFL home as the Green Bay Packers’ general manager Brian Gunekust officially announced the signing of the former Clemson Tigers star, who was originally drafted as the No. 4 overall selection in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft.

On Thursday morning, news broke that the dynamic slot receiver—who can be utilized in multiple ways due to his versatility — had inked a deal with the Packers. Now the Pack have added another weapon for Aaron Rodgers who recently lost his go-to trusted pass catcher when Davante Adams was traded to the Raiders nearly one month ago.

“Breaking: Sammy Watkins is signing a one-year deal w the #Packers, per source,” tweeted Jordan Schultz.

Earlier on Thursday, it was reported the Clemson Tigers’ legend was traveling to Green Bay for a visit with the historic franchise. Evidently, the two sides liked what the other had to say, and an agreement was reached.

Additionally, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero provided the details of the star wide receiver’s contract in Green Bay.

“It’s a one-year, $4 million deal for Sammy Watkins with the #Packers, per source,” tweeted Pelissero.
