Samson Nacua suspended for slapping fan after UFL game

The United Football League has suspended Michigan Panthers receiver Samson Nacua, the older brother of Los Angeles Rams receiver Puka Nacua, on Tuesday for slapping at a fan after a recent game Saturday in St. Louis, according to TMZ.
The UFL levied a one-game suspension without pay for Samson Nacua, who was involved in “an altercation with a specator” following Saturday’s game against the St. Louis Blackhawks at The Dome at America’s Center. Nacua, who will serve his suspension for Saturday’s game against the DC Defenders, has also agreed to participate in community service in the future.
Following last Saturday’s game, Nacua was recorded getting into a back-and-forth argument with a fan in the stands. And as the fan leaned over the railing to yell at Nacua, the Panthers wideout jumped up and levied an audible slap to the left cheek of the Battlehawks fan before returning to the team’s locker room.

That includes 116 yards, at a 16.6 average, from seven receptions with the receiving score this season.

On Saturday against the Battlehawks, Nacua caught three passes for 46 yards. He was the third-leading receiver in the game in what was a 32-27 loss for Michigan.
Nacua played five seasons in college with four at Utah and one at BYU. He has also been signed at points with a pair of franchises in the NFL in the Indianapolis Colts and New Orleans Saints. He has played with the Pittsburgh Maulers as well for a few games previously in the UFL.
Nacua is the older brother of Puka Nacua, the wide receiver of the Los Angeles Rams. The two of them played together for one season in Provo in 2021. Since then, Puka Nacua has gone on to be a Pro Bowl and All-Pro level receiver in the league with 184 receptions for 2,476 yards and nine touchdowns through a pair of seasons in Los Angeles.
