Nick Bosa was a full participant in the San Francisco 49ers’ practice Thursday, Ian Rapoport reported via Twitter. This is music to your ears for those of you in the Bay Area.

“Yeah, the first question with Nick, he’s come along well going through the NFL protocol there and hopefully he’ll be fine by the end of the week,” 49ers defensive coordinator DeMeco Ryans said. “Definitely need him out there. So hopefully he’ll be fine by the end of the week.”

From the way 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan was talking, it seems as though the San Francisco headman is expecting Bosa to be available this weekend.

“You got to put him on [the injury report] because of the steps of the protocol,” Shanahan said. “But it’s looking good.”

Bosa suffered a concussion late in the first half of the 49ers’ wild-card round playoff victory over the Dallas Cowboys and did not play in the second half. The Cowboys played their best offensively with Bosa out of the game, something 49ers fans should be weary of if he weren’t to play against the explosive Packers team with the reigning NFL MVP under center in Aaron Rodgers.

49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo was also a full participant in Thursday’s practice despite having a sore right shoulder and thumb. He, unlike Bosa, is not listed as questionable and it is likely as if he’s a sure starter for this weekend’s big game.

“He’s thrown the ball great, and he looks as good as he did the week before,” Shanahan said.

Starting cornerback Ambry Thomas is also listed as questionable. He’s been dealing with a knee contusion and seems the most unlikely out of the three to suit up against the Packers. Without Thomas, it’s likely either Dontae Johnson or Josh Norman would get the start.

“I’m hoping he’ll go,” Shanahan said of Thomas. “That’s why we got him as questionable. I think he’ll be all right, but that’ll come down to seeing how he is on game day.”

The 49ers have until Saturday to officially clear Bosa, Garoppolo and Thomas for their game against the Packers that night at 8:15 p.m. ET. Green Bay has opened up as a 5.5 point favorite, according to ESPN. The winner will face either the Los Angeles Rams or Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC Championship game next week with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line.
