Saquon Barkley backwards hurdle move added to Madden NFL 25
One of the beautiful parts about video games nowadays is fans can get constant in-season updates. With all of the updated technology at the hands of the producers of sports video games, they can now make multiple updates to games like EA Sports College Football and Madden NFL 25 several times throughout the season. And with Saquon Barkley displaying his freakish backwards hurdle earlier in the year, Madden NFL 25 had to add that move to his arsenal of moves in the video game.
Here’s a clip of the play in the video game below.
For the season, he has 197 carries for 1,137 rushing yards, while rushing for eight touchdowns (averaging 5.8 yards per carry). As a receiver, he’s hauled in 23 catches for 210 receiving yards and two touchdowns. And he’s done that in just 10 games of work this year. If he can keep it up, Barkley is on pace for some monster numbers for the 2024-2025 NFL season.

Barkley tore his ACL in 2020, which sidelined him for all but two games of that season. In 2021, Barkley suffered an ankle injury which limited his productivity for much of that season. He had 162 carries for 593 rushing yards and two touchdowns, averaging 3.7 yards per carry. It should be noted the injury in 2021 was a left low ankle sprain.
His first season in the NFL, the former Penn State star exploded onto the scene, racking up 2,028 yards from scrimmage and 15 touchdowns. After putting up those stellar numbers, he earned NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year honors.
While at Penn State, Barkley had a highly decorated career, leaving as one of the greatest running backs to ever suit up for the school. He finished his career there with 3,843 rushing yards, which currently ranks him as the school’s second all-time leading rusher. First is Virginia native Evan Royster, who piled up 3,932 career rushing yards with the Nittany Lions.
