As the NFC Divisional between the LA Rams and Philadelphia Eagles headed into halftime, NBC had the latest on an injury for RB Saquon Barkley.

Per NBC’s Melissa Stark, Barkley is dealing with a wrist issue on his left hand that Philly’s training staff checked out. They taped it up with him returning to the game after they took a look at it.

“Yes, so, when he came over to the sideline, the athletic training staff immediately came to him. They looked at his left wrist and hand, did a quick exam with his glove on. Then they taped it, put his glove back on, and, of course, he went back into the game but it’s something we will continue to keep an eye on,” Stark said.

With that, Cris Collinsworth spoke on the problem that could be for Barkley during halftime.

“The hardest thing to do, whether you get hit in the thigh or the wrist or whatever, is to keep it loose. Like, when you go into halftime, you have to keep heat on it even though you know it’s gonna expand and be worse the next day. But you have to keep it moving to be able to play in the second half,” noted Collinsworth.

At halftime with Philadelphia having a 13-10 lead, Barkley finished with 94 yards and a touchdown on a dozen carries. He also caught three passes, tied for most on the offense with WR DeVonta Smith, for 24 more yards. Over half of the 118 total yards he posted in the half came from his rushing score towards the end of the first quarter which went for 62 yards.

The Eagles will need Barkley at his best in this second half to overcome what Los Angeles’ defense has done to this point of the game. That means keeping that hand as loose as possible in the third and fourth quarters in hoping he can help them advance to the NFC Championship.

Flag carrier brings viral book ‘Inner Excellence’ out during national anthem in Philadelphia

Jim Murphy’s book, “Inner Excellence” has taken the Philadelphia Eagles’ fan base, and the Amazon best seller charts, by storm.

Ever since AJ Brown was reading it on the sidelines during the Wild Card matchup against the Green Bay Packers, the popularity of the book has skyrocketed via social media and much of the internet.
