Scottie Scheffler has committed to play the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am next week, the PGA Tour announced Friday.

The Pebble Beach Pro-Am will be Scheffler’s first competition in about six weeks after sustaining a puncture wound to his right hand while preparing dinner on Christmas Day. The injury forced him to withdraw from the 2025 season-opening tournament, The Sentry, earlier this month. Scheffler also missed The American Express last week.

The Pebble Beach Pro-Am has the largest field (80 players) of any of the Tour’s $20 million Signature Events. Scheffler tied for sixth in the event last year.

Scheffler, the No. 1 overall player in the world, is coming off his best season to date on Tour. The 28-year-old won seven events, including capturing his second Green Jacket with a four-stroke victory over Ludvig Åberg in The Masters. He won the 2024 Tour Championship at East Lake, beating Collin Morikawa by four strokes.

Scheffler earned a record $29,228,357 on Tour, a $25,000,000 bonus for claiming the FedExCup and an $8 million bonus for topping the Comcast Business top 10. Scheffler became the first player since Tiger Woods (2005-07) to win PGA Tour Player of the Year in three consecutive years.

In addition to his performance on Tour, Scheffler took home the gold medal in the 2024 Paris Olympics. Scheffler tied the course record at Le Golf National with a final-round 62 to finish at 19-under. He ended his 2024 campaign with a win in the Hero World Challenge at Albany Golf Club in the Bahamas last month. Scheffler finished at 25-under 263 to tie the tournament record at Albany first set by Bubba Watson in 2015.

“I never really played golf for legacy. That’s not something I think about day to day. I play because I love the competition,” Scheffler said after his victory in the Hero. “I like trying to get the most out of myself out here on the golf course. That’s why I’m always trying to improve, trying to do little things to get better on the golf course.

“I don’t think about records, I don’t think about achievements, wins, losses, I just try and get the most out of myself and come out here and compete and have a good attitude.”
