Seahawks DT Byron Murphy leaves to locker room with injury vs. Miami Dolphins
Seattle Seahawks (2-0) rookie defensive tackle Byron Murphy exited Sunday’s Week 3 home contest against the Miami Dolphins (1-1) after suffering a hamstring injury in the second quarter.
Murphy, initially ruled as questionable to return, is out for the remainder of the game.
Murphy, the 2024 first round pick out of Texas, was off to a solid start in his NFL career. He compiled six tackles (two solo), one tackle for loss and half a sack in the first two games of the season.

Seahawks lose Byron Murphy for remainder of Week 3 game vs. Dolphins
Along with Murphy, veteran defensive lineman Leonard Williams is out for the rest of the game. Williams left the game in the first quarter, seen holding his midsection as he walked back to the locker room. Like Murphy, Williams was off to a fast start this season, recording 1.5 sacks in the first two games.
Without Murphy and Williams, Seattle’s defense will be tested against Miami’s rushing attack led by running back De’Von Achane.
