Sean Clifford throws touchdown pass in NFL preseason debut for Green Bay Packers
Sean Clifford struggled initially in his NFL debut on Friday evening, throwing a pick six against the Cincinnati Bengals to Tycen Anderson. He also threw another interception to Anderson later in the game. But he rebounded nicely in the second quarter, making a nice run, then tossing a six-yard touchdown toss to Tyler Davis right before halftime, to give the Packers the lead.

In true Sean Clifford form, he had a very up-and-down performance, throwing two interceptions to Tycen Anderson, one of which was a pick-six. He also managed to throw for nearly 200 passing yards in just one quarter. The former Penn State star also had a 14-yard run.
Clifford also had a beautiful 28-yard pass to Samori Toure down the left sideline.
He finished the game completing 20 of his 26 passes for 208 yards and a touchdown, to go along with his two interceptions. The Packers won the game, 36-19.
More on Sean Clifford, Green Bay Packers
Moreover, Sean Clifford is entering the NFL with a bit of a chip on his shoulders, as he believes he was “snubbed” from the NFL Scouting Combine during the NFL Draft process. However, it thankfully didn’t impede his ability to get drafted, as Green Bay must’ve liked what they saw with the former Big Ten star.
“I feel like I was snubbed with the Combine for sure,” Clifford said. “The body of work that I’ve had with these teams here; when I didn’t see my name as a Combine guy, I felt disrespected for sure. But, hey, it’s just more fuel to the fire.”
