Seattle Seahawks facility remains without power ahead of Arizona Cardinals game
The Seattle Seahawks continue to deal with a power outage at their headquarters after a huge storm hit the area. Per Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network, the facility is without power for the second consecutive day. The team will practice at the facility on Thursday, but it’s possible Friday’s practice could be moved to Lumen Field. The Seahawks are getting ready for a game against the Arizona Cardinals which will be played on Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET.
On Tuesday, a “bomb cyclone” hit western Washington, which led to the Virginia Mason Athletic Center using limited backup power on Wednesday. The team adjusted their schedule and held positional meetings in the same room.
“We pushed some things back,” Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald told reporters about the outage, per ESPN. “There’s some things we don’t have in the building, but we’re just fine.”
“Just want to give a shoutout first to everybody that was affected by what was going on today weather-wise,” receiver DK Metcalf said. “Hope everybody’s fine and everybody gets their lights on very fast and swiftly.”

How Seattle Seahawks’ power outage impacts game against Arizona Cardinals
When asked how the outage will impact the Seahawks’ preparation for Sunday’s game, Metcalf said, “It’s all about the way you look at it,” he said. “I don’t think it’s impacted us as much. We still got to come in. We still got to install. The Cardinals aren’t making any excuses so we can’t make an excuse for ourselves. We still got our install in and we still were able to walk-through and now go out there to practice.”
The Seahawks are currently 5-5 on the year and one game behind the Cardinals for the NFC West lead. After winning the first three games of the season, Seattle has lost five of their last seven games. The Seahawks are coming off a 20-17 win over the San Francisco 49ers to earn their first division victory of the year.
