SEC Championship Game: Updated odds to win conference title entering Week 6

Following Week 6 of the college football season, the odds for each SEC team to win the conference championship have been updated.

The SEC was the talk of the sport in Week 5. Georgia and Alabama put on an instant classic, but that was far from the only game worth watching within the conference, as Kentucky shocked Ole Miss, and Oklahoma got their first SEC victory, taking their show on the road to capture a comeback win against Auburn.

With those games in mind, ahead of what should be another entertaining slate in Week 6, check out the full list of updated odds below, courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook, as the SEC schedule continues to pick up steam in 2024.

Texas (+200)

Texas continued their winning ways against Mississippi State in Week 5, defeating the Bulldogs by a score of 35-13. Arch Manning came through big during his first SEC start, passing for 324 yards and two touchdowns.

The Longhorns will enjoy a week off before getting back after it in the SEC’s first presentation of the Red River Showdown. Perhaps Quinn Ewers will return to action when Texas faces Oklahoma on Oct. 19.

Alabama (+220)

In the most anticipated game of the college football season thus far, Jalen Milroe shined through for Alabama. The quarterback passed for two touchdowns and added one with his legs during the Crimson Tide’s victory over Georgia in Tuscaloosa.

Undefeated and looking for more, Alabama will be heavily favored in Week 6, as they travel to Nashville to face Vanderbilt. The Crimson Tide’s huge showdown with Tennessee looms large in the distance, taking place on Oct. 19.

Tennessee (+450)

Tennessee enjoyed a bye week after defeating Oklahoma in Norman in Week 4. They’ve been one of the best teams in the SEC and the country as a whole throughout the first month of the season.

The Volunteers will return to action in Week 6, with a showdown against Arkansas. The Razorbacks have two losses on the season, so it’s a game Tennessee must win if they’re to be considered among the elite in 2024.

Georgia (+550)

Georgia and Kirby Smart can’t seem to figure it out against Alabama. A slow start doomed the Bulldogs, as they couldn’t overcome a massive first half deficit, falling to the Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa after a furious comeback.

Now, Georgia will be hoping to get back on track in Week 6 against Auburn. Following, they’ll face Mississippi State in Week 7, before a highly-anticipated showdown with Texas in Week 8.

Texas A&M (+2000)

An injury to quarterback Conner Weigman hasn’t been able to keep Texas A&M down. They won their fourth game in a row, with a victory over Arkansas inside AT&T Stadium in Week 5.

The Aggies have been hot, and they’ll return to Kyle Field to welcome the Missouri Tigers to town in Week 6. Who would’ve thought, but it’s a game with some gigantic implications, and it’s a must-see for sure.

LSU (+2200)

LSU’s rebounded nicely from their Week 1 loss, similar to Texas A&M. The Tigers handled business against South Alabama in Week 5, advancing their record to 4-1 before entering their bye week.

The Tigers will return to action in Death Valley with a huge game against Ole Miss in Week 7. The Rebels are ripe for the taking, and LSU will be hoping to secure a major conference win when they get back on the field.

Ole Miss (+2500)

Ole Miss had the most disappointing performance in the conference over the weekend. With all the hype behind the Rebels, they were beaten by Kentucky in Oxford, and their College Football Playoff dreams feel like they’ve gone up in smoke.

Of course, Lane Kiffin’s team can still make a run, but their path has become a lot more difficult. The Rebels will travel to face South Carolina this weekend, before a clash with LSU in Week 7.

Missouri (+2500)

Missouri is 4-0 after their overtime win against Vanderbilt in Week 4, and they enjoyed their bye week in Week 5. The Tigers were certainly happy to regroup and get their wits about them before SEC play truly picks up.

That’s exactly what’ll happen for Eli Drinkwitz squad this weekend. Missouri will travel to face Texas A&M, in front of what should be raucous Kyle Field crowd. The winner will be in fantastic shape moving forward.
